Game 30: Raptors @ Wizards

Lowry (19-5-11-3stl) & DeRozan (20p) get it done again for @Raptors, who beat @WashWizards 101-88 in WAS for 5th straight W. Raps now 16-15.

The Wizards continue to struggle in 2014 losing their second straight at home, falling 2 games below .500 for the season.  The team looked out of sync most of the night and was never able to find its rhythm at the start of the 2nd half as the Raptors scord 36 points in the 3rd quarter.  In his postgame presser coach Randy Wittmann described an agenda based, me vs. we mentality that took place in this game & said they have to do better at playing as a team.  John Wall's 8 game streak of scoring 20+ came to an end tonight and Trevor Ariza was ejected early in the 3rd quarter by Joey Crawford.  The Wizards will be at home again on Sunday when they face the Warriors.

In the post-game presser, Randy Wittman described selfish play as "agenda based." Should play as a team and forget individual goals.

Game 29: Mavericks @ Wizards

The Washington Wizards fell to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday in the first game of 2014.  Trevor Booker had a career high 19 rebounds tonight & John Wall produced his eight straight 20+ scoring night, but the Wizards were never able to find their rhythm and shot a miserable 20% from 3-point range while the bench was only able to muster a combined 16 points.  Not the production necessary to get the job done.  The Wizards will face the Raptors on Friday as they continue to flirt with .500.
